Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance runs at 60 frames per second

Kojima has announced that a lot has changed for the next game in the Metal Gear saga since Metal Gear Solid: Rising was first revealed last year. In it’s re-reveal yesterday, it’s name wasn’t the only thing that changed, as some of you may have noticed.

Not only did Kojima acknowledge the fact that the visual theme, the story and the very feel of the game was very different from what Metal Gear players were used to, it was also announced that MGR: Revengeance will run at a solid 60 frames per second instead of the 30 FPS it was originally running at.

Kojima asked Platinum games to include “A Raiden that moves at 60FPS, that controls well and looks good”.

Furthermore, he also said that the old Rising was “very Metal Gear” and that it had complex controls and was hard to get into, something that MGS fans would be familiar with. All that’s changed now.

Stay tuned for more updates.
