Metal Gear Solid 5: Major Zero’s VA Won’t Reprise His Role Due To An ‘Insulting Offer’ From Konami

'Unless they increase their derisory offer to slightly less derisory,' says Jim Piddock.

Ever since the announcement of Metal Gear Solid 5, things have not been exactly smooth for Konami and Kojima Productions. First of all people were confused with the difference between Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. This was followed by a massive backlash by fans when it was announced that David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss won’t be reprising his role in Metal Gear Solid 5. If that was not enough, Konami made a blunder with the pricing of Ground Zeroes.

There is still no firm release date for the game, and although the title  is turning into something that is truly fantastic, we can’t help but wonder how long we have to wait till get hands on with what is possibly Kojima’s final Metal Gear Solid. To add fuel to fire, Jim Piddock the voice of Major Zero from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has revealed that he won’t be reprising his role in The Phantom Pain.

When asked whether he will come back, he tweeted, “Unlikely, unless they increase their derisory offer to slightly less derisory!” He further stated that the offer that was made to him was pretty insulting indicating that it most likely money issue. “Tell the makers of the game not to make Major Zero such an insulting offer and he’ll be there!” he further revealed. In order to give an indication how bad the offer was, he tweeted “You have no idea :)”

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
