Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Release Date Announcement Coming Later This Year

Though PlayStation promised a 2024 release for the remake, neither Konami nor the development team has provided any official word.

After months of speculation and rumors, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is confirmed to receive a release date announcement later this year. The PlayStation Blog confirmed this in its hands-on impressions of a recent demo.

When exactly it will be announced remains to be seen, but the Tokyo Game Show from September 26th to 29th is possible. It could even be announced at The Game Awards on December 12th. Either way, it looks even less likely that the remake will launch this year, as PlayStation initially promised.

Rumors began making the rounds in May about potential 2025 launch, courtesy of Dealab’s billbil-kun. Konami never acknowledged the same, but it has revealed extensive new details about the title in recent months, from the different play styles to the revamped Battle Damage.

Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
