Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s New Online Fox Hunt Mode is Out This Fall

The new online mode inspired by Metal Gear Online's most popular ruleset will seemingly arrive after the remake's August 28th launch.

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is about 20 days out from launch, and we couldn’t be more excited. After all, it’s a remake for one of the greatest games ever made, packing new quality-of-life features, revamped visuals, and even a new online mode, Fox Hunt. However, the latter is seemingly arriving post-launch.

According to its dedicated section on the remake’s official website, Fox Hunt won’t be available until this Fall, which means sometime between the third week of September and late December. Starting days for the season may vary, but either way, you probably shouldn’t expect it when Delta: Snake Eater launches.

Fox Hunt is essentially a replacement of Metal Gear Online, but according to the website, it includes the same “fundamentals” as the title’s most popular rules. Players must hide from their opponents, blending in with the environment using camouflage, to win.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches on August 28th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. A demo will be playable for Gamescom attendees from August 20th to 24th.
