After an ESRB listing emerged for the same, Konami has officially confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is coming to PS4. Unlike the Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch versions, which release in October, its release date is still “to be determined.” Details for the same, along with the price, will be revealed later.
The PS4 version is also a digital-only release like the PC version, with other platforms able to purchase it physically and digitally. Recently, the publisher confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are ported from the HD Collection and will match the resolution (720p) and performance on Xbox and PlayStation. However, the Nintendo Switch version runs at 30 frames per second.
Stay tuned for more details on the collection, which releases on October 24th. In the meantime, Konami is co-developing Metal Gear Solid 3 remake with Virtuos called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but no release date has been announced.
