Halo is one of Microsoft’s biggest first party assets for the Xbox- as far as system selling first party franchises go, there is nothing bigger than Halo in the industry outside of Nintendo’s catalog. People literally buy an Xbox just to play Halo- a lot of people do that.
So when some wording from Microsoft recently indicated that Halo 5: Guardians may not be exclusive to the Xbox, but might actually be coming to ‘other platforms’ later… and when they promised some big announcements for PC gaming at the January Windows 10 event… well, I mean, it wasn’t hard to join the dots there.
Now, it turns out, one of those dots was wrong all along- Microsoft is saying it misworded the wording in the Halo 5: Guardians beta Xbox Live page, and that it only meant to say ‘this beta is timed.’
I mean, yeah, but guys, maybe you want to keep a sharper eye out for these errors before you publish the pages.
