After a dream revival in 2020 with Microsoft Flight Simulator, the sim franchise is ready to take the next step forward, with its next instalment, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, out today.
Its 2020 predecessor was a stellar game as is, but with this newest iteration, Microsoft and developer Asobo Studio are promising various upgrades and improvements. That includes a much more detailed and authentically recreated digited twin of our planet, extensive new Career Mode options to allow players to engage with the game and its content offerings in a variety of ways, visual and technical improvements, a host of new aircraft and types of aircraft to fly, and more.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and is also available via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. You can check out the game’s unsurprisingly hefty PC requirements through here. On PC, the game also features support for Nvidia’s DLSS and DLAA at launch.
