What should have been a momentous launch for Asobo and Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 quickly turned rough. Players faced long initial loading times, and those who could get in found their aircraft missing. The development team investigated the issues and has since provided an update, explaining that one of its services handling Career Mode and other missions was affected.
The sheer number of requests resulted in an overload, leading to “delays and errors.” It’s since resolved the issues and brought players online at a “steady pace” while apologizing to fans. Unfortunately, this has all resulted in an “Overwhelmingly Negative” rating on Steam. There are currently 2,662 user reviews at the time of writing, and only 16 percent are positive.
Stay tuned for further updates on the title in the coming days. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s also available via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. You can check out our feature for additional information.
