Microsoft Flight Simulator Also Coming To Steam August 18th; VR Support Confirmed For Post-Launch

The Steam version will come day and date with the Windows Store and Game Pass release.

Next month, you will finally get the chance to fly high with the much anticipated return of the Microsoft Flight Simulator series. While those on consoles will unfortunately have to wait, the PC crowd was confirmed to get their hands on the game soon, but there was only mention of the Windows Store in that initial announcement. But no worries, Steam fans, you’ll get it, too. Plus after launch, everyone gets a special treat.

As reported by Ars Technica, Microsoft has confirmed that the game’s PC version will release day and date with Steam. Not only that, it was also confirmed that the game will see VR support at some point after launch as a free update. The game will use the TrackIP motion-sensing system as well.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will release on PC via both the Windows Store and Steam on August 18th. If you can wait a few days, there’s also very cool physical version for those in Europe. The free VR update is slated to come Fall 2020. The game was also originally announced for Xbox One, but as of now there’s no word on when to expect it or a Xbox Series X version.
