Microsoft Flight Simulator’s Newest Video Focuses On Aerodynamics

Things are about to get all technical in here, folks.

Against all presumed market wisdom, Microsoft is bringing back Flight Simulator, and I, for one, could not be happier. The original Flight Simulator was incredibly compelling, and it looks like that is something the company is hoping to achieve with the newest game too, while also emphasizing realism along the way.

That last part is what the newest video for the game, released as part of an Insider Update, focuses on. Specifically, it focuses on aerodynamics that you need to take into account when piloting a plane, and how Microsoft is translating all of those into Flight Simulator. It sounds like for those who aim for authenticity and realism in their sims, this game will truly be going above and beyond—it also helps that it looks stunningly gorgeous. It may actually be the single best looking game ever created (though I question if the Xbox One version will end up looking half as well as the PC or inevitable Scarlett versions will).

You can check out the new video below. If you want more Microsoft Flight Simulator, there’s also the X019 trailer for you to check out. The game launches in 2020 for Xbox One and PC (and, presumably, Scarlett).
