Microsoft’s Phil Spencer May Assist No Man’s Sky Developers Following Flood

We'll see if he follows through.

Hello Games, a very promising up and coming development studio in the UK, which has won multiple development awards from such awards ceremonies, as the 2010 Develop Awards was the recent recipient of some very tragic misfortune. A flood plagued their UK offices of operations, destroying the majority of their development equipment and likely setting back the development of many of their games for an indefinite period of time.

Specifically, their upcoming sci fi game, No Man’s Sky, which gamers have been clamoring for in the wake of their Joe Danger series, may most likely not see a release anytime soon due to this flood. The game will feature a procedurally generated open world.

In the wake of this flooding fans reached out via Twitter to various big wigs in the gaming industry, such as Phil Spencer of Microsoft, asking for them to provide some assistance to the small development company. Phil Spencer responded with a cryptic “I’m going to look into it” but hey, it’s better than nothing, right? We’ll see if he offers any tangible support.
