New previews and impressions are available for Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds, including details on monsters, quality-of-life features and more. Perhaps one of the more underrated changes is the addition of Equipment Skills to weapons.
As the PlayStation Blog reveals, the Buster Sword 1 (a Great Sword) features Critical Draw, which is ideal for this weapon type. Meanwhile, Bone Blade 2 includes Focus and Attack Boost. It effectively frees up Talismans and Decoration slots on armor for other Skills like more defense and health. It’s also ideal when carrying two different weapon types since your build won’t require an overhaul when switching from Great Sword to Long Sword, at least in the early to mid-game.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out the latest trailer, which showcases Oilwell Basin and some new monsters. You can also check out some more extensive gameplay from Tokyo Games Show 2024.
