Monster Hunter World coming to PS4 and Xbox One (and later on PC) is exciting because the games, which have always had strong art, now look absolutely and utterly gorgeous from a technical perspective, too. If you don’t believe me, then you should check out the brand new screenshots for the game that were just released for the game.
They’re in 1080p (the PS4 Pro, and presumably the Xbox One X, will run the game in a higher resolution), and they show us some of the major NPCs that we will encounter in the game. Monster Hunter World is still unmistakably Monster Hunter– it just looks prettier than it ever has before. Which is something I don’t think anyone will complain about.
Monster Hunter World was announced at E3 2017, during Sony’s press conference; it will release worldwide on January 26 for PS4 and Xbox One, with the release of a PC version to follow shortly afterwards.
