Monster Hunter World Will Have In Game Clans For Up To 50 People, Known As Squads

This sounds like a great feature.

Capcom’s upcoming Monster Hunter World will fully embrace the social nature of the series by allowing up to 50 people to come together to form a squad, which is basically a Monster Hunter riff on the same concept as a clan or a guild in other games.

Each squad will get a gathering hub for its members, have its own icon, name, messages, and more. You can be a part of up to eight squads, to ensure you have multiple groups of people to go hunting with, should you feel the need to. The Squad’s name and icon will be displayed on your Hunter’s guild card, as well.

Of course, the actual hunts will be, as always, for up to four people at a time only- but hey, at the very least, you can rely on having a good pool of familiar people to match up with if you end up joining one of these squads, right? Monster Hunter World launches on January 26 for the PS4 and Xbox One; a PC release for the game will follow shortly afterwards.
