The game's official Steam page has revealed some interesting new details.

Mortal Kombat 11 was finally announced at last night’s The Game Awards show, which was followed up by the developers revealing new details on its custom character variation system, and though we won’t be receiving more concrete details on game until its community reveal event on January 17, a pre-purchase page for the game has gone up on Steam that reveals some new screenshots, and a few interesting new details.

The description also mentions that the game’s roster will include a mix of brand new characters and returning fighters from previous entries in the series. It also mentions the story mode, saying that “Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.”
