Mortal Kombat 11 was finally announced at last night’s The Game Awards show, which was followed up by the developers revealing new details on its custom character variation system, and though we won’t be receiving more concrete details on game until its community reveal event on January 17, a pre-purchase page for the game has gone up on Steam that reveals some new screenshots, and a few interesting new details.

The screenshots, which you can view below, look stunning. As per the game’s description on the Steam page, it uses a new graphics engine that will “bring you so close to the fight you can feel it”. The description also mentions that the game’s roster will include a mix of brand new characters and returning fighters from previous entries in the series. It also mentions the story mode, saying that “Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.”

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23rd, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
