Naughty Dog Dev On Saving Milliseconds, Lack of The Last of Us PS4 Footage And More

Corrinne Yu on all things Naughty Dog and a screenshot comparison showing the difference between the last and current gen versions.

The Last of Us Remastered is only a few weeks away from a retail release. There is some concern within the gaming community regarding the lack of gameplay footage…after all this is a game that most people have played it last year on their PlayStation 3. However according to one Naughty Dog developer, players should experience the game themselves instead of some watching someone else playing it in a video.

“If you can try out real TLOU sweet framerate in mere weeks by yourself, why do you want to watch a guy in an ad show it to you? :),”  Corrinne Yu who is coding graphics and animation for Naughty Dog, tweeted. She also went ahead and revealed that they have worked hard to save those important milliseconds in order to improve performance. “I always play TLOU final build without lock option with no dips. You can see for yourself so soon.We worked hard to shave many ms.”

She finally talks about how PlayStation 4 owners can look forward to more content this year and the next. We can assume that she is referring to Uncharted 4 in this case. “PS4 owners will get more out of their set tops this year and next year. I am so glad to be a small part of it.”

Furthermore a user on Neogaf posted some comparison screenshots to show the difference between the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game.
