According to GamingEverything, Naughty Dog’s community strategist Eric Monacelli has said they will be talking about the multiplayer side of The Last of Us “very shortly if everything syncs up” It’s a bit difficult to tell what he means by “syncs up”, but it’s safe to assume that they’re just waiting to prepare everything accordingly and making sure that it will work without any issues.
Besides the statement above, he also suggested that the multiplayer of The Last of Us will offer a Season Pass for upcoming downloadable content. Eric also reassures the fans that the multiplayer mode is not a last minute thing that feels like it was just slapped on just to improve replay value. Naughty Dog has two teams, one that takes care of the single-player and the other that only worries about the multiplayer. The company promises that both parts of the game will both up to high quality standards.
The Last of Us will be releasing on June 14th 2013 and is touted as one of the biggest and most anticipated titles of this year for the PlayStation 3.
