Nidhogg 2, the popular action game, was announced to be coming to the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. However, since the initial announcement, we haven’t actually heard or seen much of it, leading to some to question about whether or not the game will end up releasing this year at all.
The answer? Yes, yes it will. Messhof Games confirmed this morning that the Switch version of Nidhogg 2 launches very, very soon—far earlier than you may have anticipated. It will be out on November 22, and will cost $15, the same price as on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Like so many indie games, it is a game that seems perfectly well suited for the Switch, and may end up doing better on the platform than it has done elsewhere.
The delay in it coming to the Switch at all probably has to do with the lack of Game Maker support for the Switch until very recently, which also kept Undertale off the platform for the longest time. Now that that problem has been addressed, hopefully other darling hit indie games, such as Hotline Miami, will make the jump too.
