If the news of a special set of raids in Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers based on Nier: Automata wasn’t enough, Square Enix has confirmed special two year anniversary broadcast for the game. Along with providing the latest details on the series, it will also serve as a launch broadcast for Nier: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition. The broadcast is scheduled for February 20th, 3 AM PST at the Ikebukuro Storia Cafe in Japan.
Though a stream link hasn’t been provided yet, we do know that the broadcast will start at 2:30 AM PST. The event itself begins at 3 AM PST and will last until 5 AM PST. It’s unlikely we’ll hear much about any new releases in the franchise – the focus seems to be more on discussions with the developer and certain guests.
Said guests include director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe, PlatinumGames designer Takahisa Taura, and even Final Fantasy 14 producer and director Naoki Yoshida. If you want to view the broadcast at the cafe, then reservations are currently open for 40 guests at 2,500 yen per ticket. As for Nier: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition, it will be out on February 21st in Japan for PS4. Everyone else around the world can play it on February 26th for PS4 and PC.
