No Man’s Sky Developer Hit by Flooding: “Everything Has Pretty Much Been Lost”

Hello Games heavily affected by UK floods.

Bad news for No Man’s Sky and Joe Danger developer Hello Games, as the studio has been affected by flooding. The indie dev posted on Twitter, stating that, “Water moves really quick. Hello Games has been totally flooded. Everything in the office has pretty much been lost 🙁

“A lifesize cardboard cut out of Joe Danger went floating past face down. Poor Joe. He’s taking this the worst. Massive thanks to everyone who tried to help here today. We have learned that laptops float sometimes.

“Leaving now and letting firemen to help real people (all the houses around us with kids and xmas) – rather than us drowning to save a hdd :)”

The obvious question is how badly this will affect the development of No Man’s Sky, which is to release for next gen consoles in 2014. As of now, we’ll wait and see but our hearts go out to Hello Games and those affected by the flooding.
