The release of a new Ubisoft game is always a big deal- no matter what you think about whether or not those games live up to expectations, the fact remains that these are massively hyped games that the world buys, and which are always graphically demanding and straining on your machines’ resources.
So is it any wonder that a new Ubisoft game is often reason enough for GPU manufacturers like Nvidia and AMD to issue new drivers just to ensure compatibility? We’ve seen Nvidia issue new driver updates for their products in the past to ensure compatibility with the latest Ubisoft releases, like Assassin’s Creed Unity and Watch Dogs– so the idea is not without precedence at all.
And yet, this might be the first time that I remember a new drivers update being issued solely for a game’s beta- but that’s what Nvidia is doing with its latest GeForce Game Ready drivers, which include optimizations for the beta for The Division.
As if you needed more proof that The Division is going to be a big deal.
