Octopath Traveler 2 Trailer Introduces Ochette the Hunter and Castti the Apothecary

Ochette can provoke or befriend townspeople, and use monsters in battle, while Castti concocts items for healing and damage.

Square Enix and Acquire Corp have released a new trailer for Octopath Traveler 2, revealing the final two protagonists – Ochette and Castti. Check out their personalities and talents below.

Unlike H’aanit from the first game, Ochette is more of a beast girl. Though sometimes coming into conflict with humans, she leads a relatively carefree life until learning of the Night of the Scarlet Moon. She sets out to bring back the three Creatures of Legend and fight the calamity.

Ochette can provoke townspeople into combat with monsters. Of course, she can also use food to befriend them and turn them into companions. She captures and summons monsters to fight but can also turn them into items. Her Latent Power, Animal Instincts, sees her unleashing the inner boost, gaining unique skills.

Castti is an Apothecary discovered adrift at sea. With no memories, she uses her skills to heal people, though it’s clear there’s more to her past. She can gather information from townspeople and use medicine to make them fall asleep.

Along with healing items, Castti can use hazardous materials in combat (boosting allows for more resources to a mix). Her Latent Power, Every Drop Counts, lets her concoct without using materials.

Octopath Traveler 2 is out on February 24th for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
