Ori and the Will of the Wisps Has Had Over 2 Million Players Since Launch

The metroidvania title has been played for over 14.5 million hours collectively.

Moon Studios’ Ori and the Will of the Wisps launched in March to universal acclaim, and that acclaim has led to widespread popularity for the game as well. Taking to Twitter via the game’s official account, the developer announced that since its launch, Ori and the Will of the Wisps has been played by over two million players. Like with all Microsoft-published games, Will of the Wisps has been available on Xbox Game Pass since day 1, so raw sales figures are hard to come by, but 2 million players is an impressive milestone for the game nonetheless.

The tweet in question also reveals some other interesting stats. Of the 2 million people that have played Will of the Wisps, over 423,000 have finished the game, 45,000 of whom did it on hard difficulty. Collectively, the game has been played for over 14.5 million hours, which have seen a total of 240 million player deaths. You can check other other stats – such as the most explored areas in the game, how many people found all the collectibles, and more – in the tweet below.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is available on Xbox One and PC, and also available to Game Pass subscribers on both.
