Override: Mech City Brawl Announced, Releases on December 4th

Battle in giant mechs with wildly different abilities across real-world locations.

Miss the old days of Virtual On and Tech Romancer? Fret not, because The Balance has announced Override: Mech City Brawl for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Releasing on December 4th, it will be available in Standard ($29.99) and Super Charged Mega ($39.99) Editions. Closed beta sign-ups are currently live with the beta taking place from August 10th to 12th. Check out the reveal trailer and screenshots below.

So what is Override? As the name suggests, it’s a brawling title with giant mechas. There are 12 different mechs, each with their own skills and styles, battling across real-world locations like Egypt, Tokyo, San Franciso and Mexico. Environments are destructible and it’s possible to play either online against other players or in local split-screen mode.

Perhaps the most hilarious feature is party co-op, where four players control a single mech. Each player controls a different function and coordination is key for victory. A dedicated single-player campaign is also included. Those who order the Super Charged Mega Edition can avail of the Season Pass, which will bring four additional mechs, 16 new skins and instant access to 12 Legendary skins.
