Blizzard Entertainment’s latest trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 6: Invasion went live earlier this week and finally showcased Illari, the next Support hero. It also tweeted roadmap for upcoming content, confirming that the previously delayed Hero Mastery would arrive on September 5th.
When the season launches on August 10th, players will have access to Illari (with Premium Battle Pass players gaining immediate access), the new Flashpoint PvP mode with two maps, and the limited-time PvE event, King’s Row: Underworld. Those who purchase the story missions can access Resistance (Rio de Janeiro), Liberation (Toronto) and Ironclad (Gothenburg).
The Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event begins on September 19th and features new cosmetics, while previous events like Battle for Olympus, Starwatch and Mischief and Magic return weekly. There’s also a new player progression system, though progress in previous Hero Challenges won’t carry over.
Stay tuned for more details on Season 6: Invasion when it goes live on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
