Overwatch Competitive 6v6 Elimination Playlist Now Live, Ends on May 7th

Competitive ranks and points available; Ayutthaya added to Elimination map pool.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch has received a rather interesting new addition to Arcade mode – a Competitive 6v6 Elimination playlist. Players can indulge in placement matches, earn Competitive Points and even earn a specific rank when all is said and done.

Just like the usual Elimination playlist, once you’ve won a round with a certain hero, that hero is no longer available in subsequent rounds. The first team to win three rounds will win the entire match. As per developer Scott Mercer on the official forums, the Competitive 6v6 Elimination season has already begun and will end on May 7th, 5 AM PDT (May 8th, 12 AM UTC).

All Elimination maps are playable in this mode with Ayutthaya – which debuted during the Lunar New Year event as a Capture the Flag map – being added to the mix. Fair warning though – leavers are just as common in this playlist as Competitive Play so keep that in mind when venturing forth.
