Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will see the return of Uprising, its PvE-centric event that took players to the organization’s past as it subdued a terrorist threat in King’s Row. A new trailer for the event, which will start on April 10th and end on April 30th, has been released and it seems there couled be more in store.
The same cinematic bits from last year are showcased along with previous skins that can be earned including Blackwatch Genji and McCree, Talon Widowmaker and agent skins for Mercy, Reinhardt, Tracer and Torbjorn. However, at the end of the trailer, when File 0382 designated “King’s Row Uprising” is marked as complete, a new file is brought up from the archives. File 0274 is being accessed but the trailer ends right at that mark.
The numbering seems to indicate a previous event in Overwatch history, which could mean another mission further in the past. This is all just speculation, mind you, so take this all with a grain of salt. Still, we are interested to see what Blizzard has added to Uprising this year. Hopefully it’s not just another Endless mode variant like Junkenstein’s Revenge received.
