Overwatch’s Blizzard World Map Goes Live on January 23rd

This theme park-esque map features attractions based on Diablo, Warcraft, StarCraft and so on.

In the midst of the Overwatch League buzz, Blizzard Entertainment has finally dated Overwatch’s next map Blizzard World. Players can expect it to hit live servers across all platforms on January 23rd. If you’re so inclined, then the official Blizzard Twitter is handing out digital tickets for the theme park. They’re not real but it’s the thought that count.

Blizzard World encompasses a number of different attractions based on the company’s famous properties. This includes StarCraft, Warcraft, Lost Vikings and much more. It’s an Escort map so there’s yet another case where you can scream on teammates to get on the payload.

There’s still no date on when the various character skins based on Diablo, StarCraft, etc. will be arriving for the game’s loot boxes but it shouldn’t be long now. Expect to hear more news on the game’s next big event centered on the Lunar New Year as well. If that weren’t enough, Blizzard has also (sort of) teased its next big hero via that eerie Christmas stream of Jeff Kaplan sitting by the fireside.
