Overwatch’s New Gamescom Footage Shows Off 15 Minutes Of Junkertown Gameplay

Get familiar with Overwatch's brand new Payload map.

The world’s most popular shooter at the moment is probably not Call of Duty, Battlefield, Battlefront, Titanfall, Rainbow Six, Splatoon, or even Destiny– it is, quite possibly, Blizzard’s Overwatch, which has dominated sales charts and the cultural zeitgeist like few games ever manage to do.

Overwatch was playable on the showfloor at Gamescom, Europe’s biggest gaming event, and new footage of the game has emerged as a result- new footage that shows off the new Payload map Junkertown, which is set in an Australia that has lost the battle to radiation. The video, courtesy of IGN, and which you can see for yourself below, is over 15 minutes of gameplay taking place on the map.

Of course, the gameplay isn’t too exciting, and it appears as though whoever is playing doesn’t… play very well. But hey, they’re not bad at the game either, which I suppose is all that is necessary. Overwatch is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
