Developer BKOM has announced an action RPG adaptation of the tabletop RPG Pathfinder. Titled Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults, the game will adapt the titular Adventure Path that has been published for the Pathfinder pen-and-paper RPG ruleset.
Owing to the smaller size of developer BKOM, Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults will feature a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the game. You can check out the trailer announcing the game and its Kickstarter campaign below.
While games using the Pathfinder setting and ruleset—namely Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous—have seen a fair bit of commercial and critical success, Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults will be quite different from those games, since it will be a fast-paced action RPG rather than a CRPG filled with story elements, conversations, and complicated RPG systems.
Last we heard of Pathfinder in the news, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was celebrating million sold copies, and was getting ready for a DLC release earlier this year. While you wait for Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults, you can check out the world of Pathfinder with Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
