The global closed beta for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis goes live in May but those who can’t get in won’t have to wait long for the official release. In an ongoing stream, the development team announced that it would launch worldwide simultaneously in June. Nibellion on Twitter highlighted the same in a recent tweet.
It was also confirmed that the Character Creator will go live in late May. This will allow players to create their characters beforehand and then import them into the game when it launches. Though the Character Creator will be available worldwide, it’s only for PC players.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a brand new chapter for the long-running MMO, providing improved visuals and a massive open world to explore. It will be available for Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series X/S in North America and Europe while players in Japan can access it on PS4, PC and Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
