Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break created quite a bit of news yesterday when it was announced to be releasing for Windows 10 PCs (despite the overwhelmingly heavy recommended requirements). Interestingly enough, if you pre-order Quantum Break on the Xbox One, then you receive the Windows 10 version as well through crossbuy.
It’s a nifty feature to have and one that’s already for PlayStation platforms and handhelds, thus helping you to save money and have access the same game across different devices. Will this be a trend for Microsoft titles alone though? According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer on Twitter, Microsoft has other plans. “We’ll make it a platform feature. We think it’s good for gamers.”
That’s certainly not a bad thing, especially considering the growing number of triple-A releases which are available simultaneously on Xbox One and PC. Fable Legends will be joining that list when it releases and Quantum Break is out on April 5th for Xbox One. No release date has been indicated for Windows 10 so stay tuned.
