PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Dev Looking Into Xbox One Port “At Least”

No time frame on when it will happen though.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developed by Brendan Greene and Bluehole has been a pretty big success thus far despite its early access status. It’s sold 2 million copies since launch and earned $11 million in its first three days.

It’s no surprise then that Greene is looking into a console version or at the very least a port on the Xbox One. Speaking to Business Insider, Greene said that, “We have a team working already on looking to port it to at least the Xbox [One]. We’re looking at both consoles of course, but we have no time frame for both. We have no time frame yet exactly on Xbox [One] or PlayStation [4], but we are looking at it.”

Porting the game won’t be a huge task since it’s developed on Unreal Engine 4. “Porting to consoles isn’t that hard. It [Unreal Engine 4] is a great engine to use for multiplatform.”

Currently, the team is focused on getting the PC version through early access and into retail. Stay tuned for more information on when that happens.
