PlayStation Showcase Announced for May 24th, Focuses on PS5 and PS VR2 Titles

It will run for a "bit" over an hour and features "new creations" from PlayStation Studios in addition to third-party and indie devs.

It was rumored to be announced today, and Sony has confirmed – the PlayStation Showcase returns on May 24th. It airs at 1 PM PT/9 PM British Time and will run a “bit” over an hour on YouTube and Twitch.

The showcase focuses on PS5 and PlayStation VR2 titles in development from studios worldwide. There will also be several “new creations” from Sony’s PlayStation Studios and announcements from third-party partners and indie developers.

No further details were provided, but it’s rumored that the showcase will set up the second phase of PlayStation 5. While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one game that could appear since it releases this Fall, reports indicate that Konami’s long-rumored remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 will also be announced. It wouldn’t be too surprising if Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin appeared.

Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming days. In the meantime, check out our thoughts on ten games that could appear at the PlayStation Showcase.
