PlayStation VR2’s Manual Seems to Have Leaked Online

The official manual of the upcoming next-gen virtual reality headset seems to have found its way online.

With the PlayStation VR2 launching some months from now, the expectation is that new details and extended looks at what the next-gen VR headset will have on offer will begin rolling out in the not-too-distant future. Before that, however, intriguingly enough, it seems like its official manual has found its way online.

Of course, the manual isn’t the most terribly exciting thing for any new and upcoming hardware- it’s the part of the purchase you always roundly ignore, after all. Interestingly, however, as pointed out on Twitter by @SadlyItsBradley, it seems like Sony has reduced the headset’s weight by a significant bit during the course of development. While the PSVR2’s devkit weighed 630g, the final version of the headset weighs 560g (which, incidentally, is also 40 grams lighter than the original PSVR).

Meanwhile, as per the leaked manual, the new Sense controller weighs 162 gams.

Earlier this year, Sony confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 will launch sometime in early 2023. Recent reports have claimed that the company is aiming to manufacture 2 million units of the headset by March 2023. Read more on that through here.
