Project CARS Runs at 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One

Both versions to run at 60 FPS but there's no split-screen mode.

Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed the resolution for Project CARS on current gen consoles. The racing simulator will run at 1080p on the PlayStation 4 and 900p on Xbox One. However, both consoles will run at 60 frames per second.

In order to hit 60 frames per second, there won’t be a split-screen mode in Project CARS according to the official FAQ. It also reveals that the PC version will be able to run at up to 12K resolution and that the Wii U version’s resolution will be revealed later.

Slightly Mad Studios said last year in September that Project CARS was “not quite 1080p at the moment” on Xbox One. The developer said it was aiming to reach that goal but it seems the 60 FPS goal was prioritized more.

Project CARS is out in May for Xbox One, PC and PS4 with the Wii U version releasing later. What are your thoughts on this news? Let us know in the comments.
