Amidst all the rumblings and rumours of an early June reveal event for the PS5 – which will allegedly kick off Sony’s marketing for the console in earnest – it seems Sony are gearing up to finally lift the lid – properly – on their next-gen console.
The official PS5 web page – which was last updated at the end of March following lead system architect Mark Cerny’s deep dive into the tech powering the machine – was recently updated again. The page briefly mentions the console’s lightning speed owing to its CPU, GPU, and SSD, the console’s “stunning” library of games with their “incredible” graphics, and the console’s promise of “breathtaking immersion” with its 3D audio, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that a reveal event is indeed imminent, but rumours and leaks for the same are continuing to pile up. The most recent report suggests that a PS5 games showcase is planned for June 3. Read more on that through here.
