After months of radio silence from Sony, they’re finally ready to talk about the PS5. Having recently done a deep dive into the tech powering their console, the company is preparing to ramp up its rollout of information on the next generation of PlayStation. They recently updated the dedicated PS5 webpage to reflect that change.

The updated text on the site briefly summarizes and re-iterates some of the key things lead system architect Mark Cerny recently spoke about, including the console’s “ultra high-speed” SSD, it 3D audio custom engine Tempest, its AMD GPU with ray-tracing, and more. More importantly, however, the website also re-iterates that the console is still primed for a Holiday 2020 launch.

That’s been the PS5’s intended launch date for a while now, but recent concerns regarding the coronavirus have thrown that into doubt for many- though Sony PR said not too long ago that its launch has not yet been delayed.

Meanwhile, make sure to check out our in-depth analysis of the PS5’s tech through here.
