Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Siege has turned into one of the best multiplayer shooters of the generation, n spite of a largely middling launch- and even though Ubisoft claim that the game has been designed for the long term, there is no getting round the fact that the game’s post launch support in the form of DLC is almost at an end.
However, that might not be a problem for the longevity of the game- a new survey (which was also posted on Reddit, via VideoGamer) asks players to select which items they’d like to see in a “future Season Pass,” with the items in question ranging from new uniforms, a “monthly skin subscription,” and exclusive customization options.
While this does seem to hint at potential plans for a new Season Pass, Rainbow Six community manager Craig Robinson has tried to keep the speculation in control. “This survey could be used to generate more information on our player base for future titles as well. Let’s keep things in perspective,” he said.
At this point, given the game’s remarkable turnaround, Ubisoft really would be foolish to not do another Season Pass, and to continue support of the game- let’s hope the speculation turns out to be all true.
