Rainbow Six: Siege – Player-vs-AI Terrohunt Detailed

Horde mode, Rainbow Six: Siege style.

Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Siege promises to be a pretty interesting multiplayer shooter when it launches later this year, presenting players with realistic and grounded action, where each action in the moment to moment gameplay carries weight and consequence. It also has some very interesting gameplay modes that promise to present the players with varied objectives. Today, Ubisoft have added one more to that number, unveiling the Terrohunt mode, which will allow for 1-5 players to tackle tough AI-controlled enemies as they bid to complete objectives.

Essentially, think of it as sort of a horde mode, except instead of just mindless killing of wave upon wave of enemies, you will actually be prompted to complete some objectives to mix things up. These objectives may include infiltration, defusing bombs, rescuing hostages, all the while taking on enemies and wiping them out.

It will be sufficiently new each time you play it too, as you will get a random map location, a random choice of attacking or defending, new randomly chosen objectives, different obstacles on the map, and dynamic AI that adapts to all of these changes. Personally, I think this might be the mode that I most play. Rainbow Six: Siege will launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stay tuned.
