It’s been a bit of a rough week for Ubisoft. Not only did they delay several major games, they also saw the commercial disappointment of several big releases much Breakpoint and The Division 2. That’s caused their stocks to take stiff tumble as well. Despite all of that, though, Rainbow Six Siege seems immune to all that bad news, as despite all that, the game is still seeing record numbers.
In a press release from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, he stated that despite all of the bad news coming out there is still growth in the company. He pointed to Siege as one of the key examples of that. While he didn’t give any specific numbers, he said it hit another “record high” during the last quarter.
It’s almost hard to believe that when the game launched it was not particularly popular and had a lot of issues. It may be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, success stories of a live service game outside maybe Final Fantasy 14‘s legendary turnaround. The game is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
