Remember that rumor about an unannounced triple-A PlayStation title coming to PC in July? It’s Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which releases on July 26th for Steam and the Epic Games Store. A new trailer has been released, showcasing some of the features that PC players can expect.
Ported by Nixxes Software (hinted back in March due to a UI/UX Engineer listing), Rift Apart features ray-traced reflections with different quality levels. New to the PC version is ray-traced shadows, which enables “realistic shadows with natural gradients in softness” (with compatible hardware, of course).
There’s also support for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 resolutions for those with three monitors, with both gameplay and cutscenes optimized for ultra-wide resolutions. You can also expect unlocked frame rates and support for Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac’s Temporal Injection. You can also use Nvidia Reflex, DLAA and full mouse and keyboard support.
You can also attach a DualSense (via a wired connection) and benefit from haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Other controllers are fully supported, of course. If that wasn’t enough, you get the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack with five suits inspired by previous titles and the five armor sets from the Digital Deluxe Edition. PC pre-purchases also get early access to the Pixelizer Weapon and Carbonox Armor.
Stay tuned for more details on hardware requirements in the coming weeks. You can also check out our review for the PS5 version here.
