The PC version of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is out now. Celebrating the launch, developer Insomniac Games and PlayStation have released a PC launch trailer for the game, which you can check out below.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is seeing a number of new features for its PC release. The developer revealed earlier this week that the title would be verified for play on the Steam Deck, which means that players will be able to play the game on the handheld gaming PC right out of the box without having to tinker with settings.

The PC version of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart also features fancier visuals through the use of ray-traced ambient occlusion and shadows. These features were detailed in blog post earlier this month, with graphics programmer Menno Bil breaking down how the technology works, and the different techniques used.

The game also features support for DirectStorage 1.2 GPU decompression, which essentially allows it to make use of higher bandwidth streaming from the PC’s storage to its graphics hardware, making the game run faster and smoother, and allowing for quicker load times.
