Rayman Legends, ZombiU Developer Working on “Full Physics Related Project”

It's a new game, okay?

While Ubisoft Montpellier, the development team that’s handled ZombiU, Beyond Good & Evil and the Rayman series, is busy working on Rayman Legends and (hopefully) Beyond Good & Evil 2, it’s also interesting to note that they have a new, unannounced project in the works as well.

In the Linkedin profile for Gregory Riachi, a physics programmer with Ubisoft, he describes working in Montpellier on a “full physics related project” whose development is targeting “Xbox 360, PS3 (PPU/SPU), PC and Wii U”. “PPU” is short for Physics Processing Unit while “SPU” stands for Sound Processing Unit.

There are no other details to speak of, but the words “full physics related” indicate that it could be a game along the lines of Portal or even Quantum Conundrum. Heck, it could even be an action game with some physics related gameplay elements. Who knows?

For now, we’ll wait for more details from Ubisoft Montpellier. Or just wait them to leak like something else has.
