Reanimal Gameplay Highlights Puzzle-Solving, Stealth, and Tense Escapes

Watch the opening 13 minutes or so of Tarsier Studios' new co-op horror title, which launches in Q1 2026 for current-gen platforms.

Tarsier Studios’ next title, Reanimal, presents a familiar vibe for Little Nightmares fans, but ventures across new perspectives and planes to amp up the tension. Almost 13 minutes of new gameplay have been released, courtesy of IGN, outlining the game’s opening. Check it out below.

It begins with the protagonists, a brother and sister, arriving by boat on a strange island with an abandoned train yard. After reuniting with one of three friends they’ve set out to save, they manipulate switches and flee from snake-like stretchy men. A tall, hat-wearing entity is also after them, clambering and tearing through doors in the process.

Whether they successfully escape or not is left up to our imaginations. While played in single-player mode, with AI controlling the other character, Reanimal also supports online co-op. Sadly, there’s no split-screen support – the siblings must remain on-screen together at all times.

Reanimal launches in the first quarter of 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. You can watch some more gameplay, highlighting the co-op mechanics, here.
