Little Nightmares 1 and 2 developer Tarsier Studios is delving into a new horror universe with Reanimal. A new trailer debuted at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, offering more details on the gameplay while showcasing co-op.

The story sees two siblings on a journey to find their three lost friends amid a world teeming with horrors. The reasons for things turning bad remain secretive, though it’s up to you to “find all the secrets and put it all together,” so expect a fair bit of theorizing. Various little “puzzles” emerge, but they’re described more like obstacles to overcome and ultimately survive.

There are three island fragments to venture to, which you’ll traverse by land and sea, but smaller areas also exist with their own unique stories. Alongside online co-op, couch co-op and solo play are supported. Interestingly, there’s no split-screen while playing with a friend – the two characters always remain together.

Reanimal is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. A release window remains unknown so stay tuned for more updates.
