Since ReCore was first announced, there has been a bit of back and forth about whether the game would be coming to both the Xbox One and the PC, or just Microsoft’s console. There has also been some talk about getting a bit more information about the game when 2016 rolled around. Today we did get a little bit more info, though it’s probably not quite as much as what you were looking for.
Microsoft have confirmed ReCore will officially be coming to the PC this year. The apparent announcement was actually a bit of an afterthought in a larger post about the full game lineup that Microsoft is quite excited about in the coming year. The company was highlighting the number of first party games it will be rolling out in 2016, as well as how much success it had over the Holiday season at the tail end of 2015.
There is actually another little tidbit that is hidden in the larger announcement that might be a bit disappointing. While the game has always had a “Spring 2016” attached as an unofficial release date, the latest post just lists 2016. That could mean the title has been officially pushed back a couple of months, or it could just mean this particular release wasn’t all that interested in making sure we knew the exact season ReCore is going to be hitting store shelves. We’re still waiting from more information and it should be coming relatively soon now that we are indeed in 2016.
