Rockstar Games has confirmed that Red Dead Online will launch on November 27th. However, it won’t be available to all owners of the game immediately. According to the developer, Ultimate Edition owners will receive access first tomorrow. On November 28th, the beta will be available to those who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on the first day of its launch (October 26).
Those who played within the first three days of release can get in on November 29th. Finally, on November 30th, the online mode will be available to all owners of the base game. According to The Verge, the world will become “a new, living online world ready to be shared by multiple players.” Along with joining a posse consisting of eight players total, you can hunt, fish, and battle other gangs in “spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles.”
Much like Grand Theft Auto Online, you’ll be able to create and customize your character. There may be some additional abilities involved, especially since Rockstar mentions being able to “tailor your abilities to suit your play style.” Will we see other rumoured features like player housing and duelling? Stay tuned for more information when Red Dead Online arrives tomorrow.
