Gold bars, which serve as one of the primary currencies within Red Dead Online, have been problematic ever since the online component’s beta launch (though Rockstar did recently try to balance it somewhat). For those who don’t want to get bogged down in the grind too much, Rockstar Games have enabled microtransactions in the game.
The studio announced that the in-game store is now accessible, and players can now purchase gold bars with real world money, which is something that most players had been expecting for some time to come. 25 gold bars can be purchased for $9.99, 55 gold bars for $19.99, 150 gold bars for $49.99, 245 gold bars for $74.99, and 350 gold bars for $99.99. Time will tell how the community receives these prices.
These might not be the only changes being made to Red Dead Online (which is something of a given, considering that it’s currently a beta only). Recent leaks indicate that two new modes are on their way to the game’s online component. Read more on that through here.
